6in Soil Density Mold

The 6in Soil Density Mold is used to compact soil samples for moisture density testing and meets the standards for ASTM and AASHTO Proctor Compaction testing. It is constructed of solid steel and has a volume of 0.0750ft³ (2,124cm³). Slotted tabs easily secure to the upright posts of the 6in Soil Density Mold Base (sold separately). The 6in Soil Density Mold Collar (sold separately) allows overfilling of the Mold during compaction of the specimen in order to trim the sample to the exact size required. This 6in (152mm) Mold is also used with the 6in Compaction Permeameter in falling head or constant head soil permeability testing.
