Triaxial Cell, 1.4 to 2.0in dia. Specimens

This Triaxial Cell is used for triaxial shear testing of soil specimens 1.4 to 2in (35.6 to 50.8mm) diameter and can do double-duty for testing flexible wall permeability soil samples. The clear, heavy acrylic chamber wall is rated to 150psi (10.3bar) pressure. The cell’s precision-ground polished stainless steel load piston features an internal lubed and sealed u-cup and nylon sleeve bearings which ensures low friction. The Triaxial Cell features quality zero-volume change brass ball valves and fittings. Heavy, machined aluminum base and top are anodized to resist corrosion.

Test Cell Kits (sold separately) contain all components required to outfit the Triaxial Cell to test for a particular specimen size. Kits include a Top Cap and Bottom Pedestal, two Porous Stones, four Sealing O-Rings, and two 0.012in Latex Membranes. The pedestal has flow-through lines and is keyed to prevent turning during installation. Components are also available individually. At least one Kit or the necessary individual components are required for the proper operation of the Triaxial Cell.
