Geotextile Testing Equipment
Geosynthetics are fabrics produced for soil reinforcement and stabilization in pavements and embankments. These synthetics are often composed of polymers and also enhance drainage characteristics. Strength and permeability testing of soil specimens with geomembranes in place allows realistic predictions of field performance.
- Large Direct Shear Machines use Karol-Warner’s pneumatic CONBEL® system in a large format direct shear test that can accommodate soil specimens with embedded geosynthetic membranes. Large Direct Shear Machines are available in two load capacities and meet ASTM D5321 and ASTM D6243 requirements.
- Soil / Geotextile Permeameter is an integral piece of equipment used in geomembrane testing for determining permeability and other characteristics of geotextiles in accordance with ASTM D5101.
