Latex Membranes encase soil specimens during triaxial shear and permeability testing in fluid-pressurized chambers. New dual-layer Neoflex Membranes are a Karol-Warner exclusive for specialized triaxial shear and flexible wall permeability testing applications. All membranes are supplied in packages of 12.
Latex Membranes form a waterproof barrier, allowing confining pressures to be applied to the soil samples using water or other permeant solutions while protecting the sample from moisture changes. Membranes are made from pure latex rubber under tightly controlled proprietary manufacturing processes to maintain high-quality products free from defects.
Our new dual-layer Neoflex Membranes are unique. They are made from pure latex rubber coated with a layer of neoprene and provide the flexibility of latex with the abrasion and chemical resistance of neoprene. The neoprene side of the membrane is used against the sample. Neoflex Membranes allow for use at extended operating temperatures of -40-250°F.
All membranes are available in a wide selection of diameters and lengths in wall thicknesses of .012 or .025in (0.3 or 0.6mm).
