Triaxial Cell is used for triaxial shear strength or flexible wall permeability testing of soil specimens with 6in (152.4mm) diameter. The cell’s precision-ground polished stainless steel load piston features an internal lubed and sealed u-cup and nylon sleeve bearings which ensures low friction. Test cells feature a clear, heavy acrylic chamber wall and heavy machined aluminum base and top that are anodized to resist corrosion. Cells also have quality zero-volume change ball valves and fittings with an included piston lock and dial indicator bracket.
3600 Triaxial Cell features brass ball valves and fittings with a pressure rating of 100psi (6.9bar).
3600SS Triaxial Cell features stainless steel ball valves and fittings for resistance to corrosion and enhanced durability and has a pressure rating of 100psi (6.9bar).
3600HP Triaxial Cell is reinforced with stainless steel bands to allow testing of soil specimens at pressures up to 250psi (17.2bar). Valves and fittings are brass.
3600HP-SS Triaxial Cell is reinforced with stainless steel bands to allow testing of soil specimens at pressures up to 250psi (17.2bar). The valves and fittings are stainless steel.
In order for Triaxial Test Cells to operate properly at least one Test Cell Kit or necessary individual components (sold separately) are required. Components required to outfit the Triaxial Cell to test include a Top Cap, Bottom Pedestal, two Porous Stones, four Sealing O-Rings, and two 0.012in Latex Membranes. The pedestal has flow-through lines and is keyed to prevent turning during installation.
