LBR Mold Set Components

LBR Mold Set Components are used for compacting, forming, and saturating soil samples for Limerock Bearing Ratio (LBR) strength testing. Each component is available individually as the Compaction Mold body, Compaction Collar, and Base. Components are constructed of heavy steel, zinc-plated for rust resistance, and meet ASTM test standards.

The complete mold set is available, LBR Mold Set. The set and components can be used with Manual Proctor Hammers or with the Mechanical Soil Compactor.

BRA-59M Mold Only is 6x6in (152x152mm) I.D.x H. It features slotted tabs for securing the unit to the LBR Mold Base (sold separately).

BRA-59C Mold Collar is 2.5in (64mm) tall and fits on top of the mold to facilitate filling and compaction.

BRA-59B Mold Base is perforated as required by FM 5-515. The Base secures the mold during compaction and is fitted with threaded upright rods and wing nuts.
