Load Frame, 2in / min, 20,000lbf

The MS-87 Karol-Warner Load Frame can perform a variety of Marshall testing applications with 20,000lbf (89kN) load capacity and a fixed strain rate of 2in/min (50.8mm/min). When equipped with the proper load and displacement components, it can be used for testing Marshall, Indirect Tensile (Lottman), Semi-Circular Bend (SCB), Tack Shear, and other hot-mix asphalt samples.

With its sturdy powder-coated steel cabinet and precision loading screw with a protective boot, the Load Frame can handle even the most severe lab environments. Front panel controls allow the operator to adjust the direction of the 8in (203mm) diameter platen. The vertical 1.25in (32mm) diameter rods allow for a quick change of crossarm height.

The powerful 1hp AC motor and controller regulate speed to within ±1%. This model is available in 200-240V, 50-60Hz only.
