CBR Mold Set Components

CBR Mold Set Components are used for compacting, forming, and saturating soil samples for California Bearing Ratio (CBR) strength testing. Each component is available individually as the Compaction Mold body, Compaction Collar, and Base. Components are constructed of heavy steel, zinc-plated for rust resistance, and meet ASTM test standards.

The complete mold set is available, BRA-60 CBR Mold Set. The set and components can be used with Manual Proctor Hammers or with the Mechanical Soil Compactor.

BRA-60M Mold Only is 6x7in (152x178mm) I.D.x H.  The Mold features slotted tabs for securing the unit to the CBR Mold Base (sold separately).

BRA-60C Mold Collar Only is 2in (51mm) tall and fits on top of the mold to facilitate filling and compaction. It is interchangeable with the CBR or LBR molds, eliminating the need for one extension collar per mold. The Collar allows for overfilling so that compacted samples can be trimmed to the specified height.

BRA-60B Mold Base Only is perforated as required by ASTM D1883. The Base secures the mold during compaction and is fitted with threaded upright rods and wing nuts.
